Since it is always nice to get to know who you are trusting with your care, here is a little bit about me to help us get acquainted.
I have exclusively been a Sports-Orthopedic Massage Therapist for 5 years, though I have been a a Licensed Massage Therapist for 10 years! Prior to working for myself out of a local crossfit gym, I had been employed at alternative healthcare clinics (think acupuncture and naturopathic), as well as a few spas. My education is primarily focused on Sports-Orthopedic and Medical Massage through Boulder College of Massage Therapy (BCMT). I received my Associates of Occupational studies with 1200+ hours of training in 2013 with BCMT. I trained as a Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapist through Klose training in 2013, which I find to be an incredible compliment to working with injury & post-surgical patients. Because I fully believe in the power of the mind-body connection, I am also a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and Certified Hypnotherapist. This means I am a trauma informed practitioner with the tools to help hold space and work with those recovering from traumatic events like car accidents, life changing sports accidents, war based military experiences, etc.
On the less academic and career focused side of things, I am mother to a vibrant extroverted little girl who loves dance, soccer and swimming. I enjoy snowboarding, paddle boarding, equestrian sports, snowshoeing, hiking, camping, running, crossfit, and yoga. I am a lover of reading, all things artistic, nature, travel and animals.
Fun fact about me - Showing horses competitively is how I got interested in sports massage. I'm trained as an equine massage therapist through Equissage California, and used to work on professional show horses.
I look forward to getting to know you and your story as we work together!
